You are responsible for completing a Magnum Opus that is one part creative work, one part study in progression. It allows you a high degree of flexibility in terms of choice but keep in mind this is not something that you can cram in two days before is due. It is worth 25% of your mark as it is your final assessment and there is a final exam in this course worth 5%. The assignment sheets that were handed out in class are downloadable below.

EWC4U Exam Review notes
Your exam will be 1.5 hours long and consist of two parts, worth 10 and 20 marks respectively.
The first part of the exam will be 10 multiple choice questions work 1 mark each.
The questions will address content we have covered in the course relating but not constrained to:
Children's lit : Fable, Parable Fairy tale
The structure of a story
Components of a story
Types poetry
The second part of the exam will be a long answer response where you will reflect on your evolution as a writer in formal paragraphs and will support your response using examples from your own experience over the course of the semester.
The second part of the exam will be worth 20 marks.
You are allowed to bring original examples of your creative writing from the course with you to the exam but you may not bring course notes with you.
