Thank you to Lotta Larson PHD. and "Read. Write. Think" for this unit plan. The lessons which have been adapted and modified for my purposes originate here.
In the drop down menu you should be able to select the resource page where I have posted links to handouts and documents that students will need for this unit and students should also be able to navigate to the Book Club Group Blog page for their group.
Each student is assigned to a group based on the book they have selected from the Book Club reading list. Every student in a Book Club is reading the same book and will be responding to teacher, peer, and self generated prompts to help them delve deeper into the world of their novel and build their reading and self expression skills.
